Hi my name is sted, and i am doing a science fair about energy sources and i picked hydroelectric energy. I'm wondering if you can give me information on: how does it work, where is it mostly used, the pros and cons of your source, the efficiency, monetary and environmental costs. I would like if you reply as soon as possible. Thanks!+3 Other Responses
i am a writing on behalf of ****a new business enterprise interested in the development of mini hydroelectric power in nigeria.
Presently, there are no reliable data on small rivers and streams in the nigeria for accurately determining hydro electric power potential for shp in the country.
I wish to develop the foregoing as a privately sponsored project work and it will form a preliminary document to cover about 300 small rivers and streams in nigeria.
However, i need a competent technical advisor, that is why i am writing to request for details of how to get the support of your organization or better to discuss opportunity of being our technical partner.
I will appreciate a response from you.

Molten Salt Infrared Heating System For Energy Storage
I am about to start building a 2 gw energy plant in mexico looking to store energy into molten salt. We live in cozumel island méxico, hot weather year round.
Is it possible to heat molten salt for energy storage with infrared heating system?
Our plant is planned to develop into phases 250/500/750/1000/1250/1500/1750/2000 kw, our energy storage should also be built on modules.
Looking to produce energy from aolic, steam, hcpv, stirling. Energy storage molten salt. Need advise on infrared molten salt heating system. Otherwise can use help with alternative heating systems.

My company has identified a number of sites in ireland which we think are suitable for small <1m 'run of the river' hydro projects. We have been assessing the sites using publicly available data for estimated flow duration curves and head. We have been using rettscreen to estimate the output from the proposed generators.
We would like to get some outside opinion on
a) the acuracy of rettscreen and where it might over/underestimate output
b) industry best practice in terms of flow measuring, and output calculations. We are egar to avoid a situation where a years worth of flow measurments will not pass the due diligance undertaken by banks
c) advice on project managment and taking the project forward.
Would like to hear from people with project assessment, pland design and project managment expirence of small hydro projects+2 Other Responses
