Hi, my name is rose ****. I work as an ednurse in oregon. I was placed on family leave after a substance abuse issue in june. I have received treatment and returning to work in the next month. I believe that my personal medical history was violated by the president of tillamook regional medical center because the president larry davy informed one of my ed doctors exactly what i got in trouble for. The ed doctor mark started asking questions to another doctor, who i did confide in and he told methat he received the information from the president of the hospital i work for. I don't know if he told anyone else, or the rest of the medical staff. I do feel violated and want to know if this is legal. I know working as a nurse this is a huge deal to keep peoples medical history private. I do have a meeting coming up with the privacy officer and will tell her about it then. The more time that goes by for me to process this, it becomes more unsettled. If he did tell the whole medical staff, i don't think that i will want to go back to my job there. I have never sued anyone before, and don't know if that is an option, but i would consider it if he violated my rights.Especially if he told the whol medical staff.
