I control about 160 acres in east granby, ct about 1.5 miles south west of bradley airport . Would you consider this location suitable for a prospective wind farm project ? If so, what are the steps to take next?+3 Other Responses
I am looking for a consultant that has experience in the design of the electrical collection and then transmission ashore of electric power being generated from wind farms. The consultant should be able to do conceptual layouts and drawings so it can be priced. The actual project is a hydro turbine farm but the electrical is the same.+3 Other Responses
A business associate is currently producing a 4 episode series for nbc to air on the weather channel focused on the wind industry and specifically about the men and women that service and construct wind turbines. He would like to have access to offshore wind turbines in the uk, japan, so/central america, australia, the us (where we can have access) as well as permission to film the technicians as they work on them. Also, onshore wind farms, in the us, that are in operation or/and in the midst of construction.
Ultimately, the goal is making an occupational reality series to highlight this growing field and the risks and rewards associated with it. The overall goal of the series is give americans an intimate look at an industry destined for growth and to expose them to the potential of wind as a renewable resource.
The shooting schedule is flexible and the goal is to shoot in texas 10/31 – 11/12 (tbd 11/13-19). The tbd time can be used to shoot elsewhere in the us. Shooting in california 11/20-26 and tbd (11/26–12/10). Offshore locations are a priority and the schedule can be moved anywhere from 11/13 to 12/10.+13 Other Responses
