Medicare

I opted out of medicare in my private psychiatric practice which is a self-pay practice (boutique-like). At the hospital, under a separate tax id #, i perform ect and all private insurances acknowledge the private practice as self-pay and the hospital practice as accepting all insurances (i.E., two tax id #'s and therefore two different payment systems). Medicare is saying thet since i opted out in my private practice, i am not getting reimbursed for all procedures in the hospital practice (ect on many medicare patients since oct 1st 2011 when i opted my private practice out). Is this accurate -- as it makes no sense and is entirely inconsistent with he practice of all other insurance companies?
