Printed Circuit Boards
We are researching the manufacturing space (specifically electronic manufacturing services, or ems for chip makers) and would like information on the market for their two key products. The company we are looking at is a manufacturer of printed circuit boards (pcb); one key use case for these pcb’s is computer gaming (micron’s spectek ddr products) while the other is temperature control for food transportation (paksense, division of emerson). Our questions surround the overall industry for each, replacement/upgrade cycle (gaming, specifically spectek ddr upgrade cycle), potential regulatory drivers or limitations (paksense temp. Control)please include a few lines on your experience in the space in your response. Thank you.+undefined Other Responses

Pcb Layout - Altium
i am designing a pcb for rf circuit. As it needs very thin lines of less than 50 um, i am using tapered structure to decrease the line width at the ends. To do this i am using combination of both lines/tracks and a solid region to obtain a tapered structure. But when i generate gerber files for top layer, i see difference in widths for line and solid region. How can i avoid this? Kindly help me.

Need simple pcb layout in altium designer. Must deliver final result (pcb\schematic) in formal compatible with summer 09 format or earlier.
Board is double sided with a mix of through-hole and smt parts.
Schematic provided in altium format with part numbers clearly indicated on all parts. All data sheets (to allow foot print creation) will be supplied.
Consultant will need to make approximately 12-15 simple foot prints, <10 pins. Everything else is standard components.
66 total components, 55 nets.
Work to start as soon as we have a good proposal.+undefined Other Responses
Printed Circuit Board Industry
I would like to work with an expert in the printed circuit board industry to determine:
*a list of technical specs and prices for the top 3-5 most advanced pcb manufacturers
*the general industry roadmap for key specs (electrode linewidth, via diameter, surface roughness, etc.) over the next 5-10 years
*supply chain players with specific capabilities such as laminated stack, via drilling, metallizers, etc.
*the effects of various stack and laminate material options
the ideal candidate would use their industry knowledge and connections to help quickly collect this information, especially as it pertains to a particular application. If you think you might be a good fit, please reply and we can talk about the project in more depth.+undefined Other Responses
Refining Of Pcb
Needs help on melting the ash from pcd, ic components, cell phone boards, connectors, and other electronics material.
We are able to burn the material and millit and come up with 2 grades
we are able to sort the none magnetic from the magnetic metals
now we need to melt the pulp (ash) that is where we are having problem with as this is more organic material vs metals
the rate is 8% metalic in the pulp so we need a good reduction agent in order to get a good melt.
So far we have found out that the melt are no comming up right and we have found a lot of metals left in our slags.
Need some help.

My company designs antennas that are built using flex or rigid multi-layer pcb processes. We have built prototypes in the us and asia, but now need to refine our supply chain to maintain quality and reduce cost on orders averaging about 1mm units. If you have experience with this, please contact me. Thanks!+12 Other Responses
