    We are building 10 one acre greenhouses to the south of deming, nm. To produce organic vegetables. We would like to consider windmills to address the pump/fan loads and possibly the heating of the greenhouse. Our current annual electric cost per house is about $23,000 and propane is about $65,000/year. We have 160 acres on which 15 will be occupied by the greenhouses.     I am beginning a news article/research project into building of wind mill farm electric generation projects in northern new york state. Am totally uneducated in this subject. Would be very grateful for some 'face' time with some experts in this field to be able to better focus energies on real issues. Eg., why would a company build here where average wind speed year-round is so low, and well below roi minimums, and demand population is over 150 miles away, development company has also seemed to take great care in co-opting local political leaders in manner that recalls era of building railroads in 1890's, although this is just hearsay.
