I'm part of a us based investment firm that is currently researching a company that does inspection and maintenance for refineries, chemical facilities, industrial plants etc. More specifically we are researching a company which does mechanical work (more specialized than just general contracting). The general side of the business does things like non-destructive inspection and testing and things like that. The whole business is slowed the past few years and i'd like to understand why (is it competition, customers deferring maintenance, something else, etc.) i think the ideal contact would be somebody who was involved in procurement decisions at a senior level at a refinery/chemical plants/industrial company etc that used one of these companies, i.E. Team, furmanite, mistras, etc. - so somebody that can give us perspective on what's going on in the space with respect to how they decide which vendors to use.
