Aftermarket Battery
Our firm represents a leading private equity firm. Our client is evaluating an investment opportunity in a provider of aftermarket batteries used in applications such as automotive, commercial truck and tractor, golf carts, and marine vehicles.
We seek to identify subject matter experts to assist our client in their evaluation of the aftermarket vehicle battery industry. Our client would like to better understand this market and industry by speaking with professionals at battery manufacturers and distributors. Specific topics of interest include: competitive landscape; impacts of commodity pricing; and overall industry trends.
The initial time commitment would be a phone call (roughly one-half hour) to discuss the industry with our client, and any additional discussions would be on an as-needed, negotiated fee basis. Beyond the initial phone call, there is a possibility that you may be offered an opportunity to provide consultancy services or possibly sit on the board of directors.
Please contact us if you have the aforementioned background, or feel free to forward this message to any peers who may be interested. This is not an offer of employment.

Charging lithium iron phosphate batteries.
Lithium battery expert.
I have 7.5 watt solar panels charging life4 batteries. Each battery has a pcb circuit. The 12 volt panel actually produces 18 volts max. How ever i have a 1000mf cap on the input then a 12volt regulator then(on the output) another 1000mf cap then 2 standard diodes which drops the charge voltage down to just about 11volts constant. The current input is at max 550 ma. Any suggestion to improve on this circuit? The pcb works great on the drop and for any over charge issues.

We are looking for information on lr6 battery dimensions as defined in 60086-2 section 7.1.1, particularly in figure 1a. Would like to understand why the drawings allow for an undefined "dimple" in the negative terminal and any market information on where batteries utilizing the figure 1a design are used.
