Web Design
Web designer (html programming, content management, graphics).
Provides specialized expertise in the design and layout of graphical user interfaces particularly screen layouts and functionality for client-server applications. Designs and builds web pages using a variety of graphics software applications, techniques, and tools. Designs and develops user interface features, site animation, and special-effects elements. Contributes to the design group's efforts to enhance the look and feel of the organization's online offerings. Designs the website to support the organization's strategies and goals relative to external communications. Conducts studies, testing and evaluation of screen prototypes for functionality, ease of use, efficiency, and accuracy.
Required technical skills:
o in-depth knowledge of internet software including, but not limited to, search engines, counters, guest books, browsers, databases, plug-ins, and applets.
O knowledge of graphics software and programs such as photoshop. Paint, corel draw, etc.
O professional knowledge of techniques for developing, planning, installing, and maintaining an internet or intranet web site and database applications using microsoft visual studio .Net, including but not limited to expertise in the languages used, such as html, java, javascript, vb .Net, vb script, and aspx.
O in-depth knowledge to develop and modify home pages and systems.
O knowledge of computer interface design
o knowledge of internet information distribution techniques.
O knowledge of aspects of web technology that interface with electronic publishing (such as creation of portable document (pdf) and ascii files as well as index methodology).
O skill in designing and administering databases in response to management objectives and ability to program and/or evaluate computer software packages used for electronic communication.
