Fresh Food Supply Chain Software Solutions
Looking to speak with solution providers and industry experts on fresh food/perishable food scm (supply chain management) software solutions in north america – this can include software for logistics, inventory management and/or procurement related to fresh food supply. May be executives or key decision makers at major food suppliers or distributors or food/perishable food scm software companies (examples include: [1worldsync, fsenet, harvestmark, itradenetwork, linkfresh, or spscommerce])
ideal experts would be able to speak about software solutions for the perishable food supply chain. This would focus on order management systems, product catalog systems (including data pools and standardization products with gsdn certification), and product quality tracking systems (e.G. Quality benchmarking scores, temperature tracking in a truck with produce, etc.).
We'd like to answer questions such as:
- what are the product solutions offered for fresh food and perishable food supply chain and the features and functionality involved?
-what are the features and functionality of these products?
- what features and functionality help competitors stand out from one another and what changes are expected in the industry in the next three to five years?
-- scale of implementation for various sized customers? Are larger enterprises still requesting/going to continue to request custom implementations or will out of box solutions with in-house custom options be valuable? If smaller enterprises are priced out of these type of solutions are there ‘lite’ version of current solutions that would be valuable?
- how are solutions priced? Are they subscription based, transaction based (e.G. Per po, per line item)? What price ranges do current fees fall into?+undefined Other Responses
Medical Supply Chain
At medical materials, inc. We seek to help hospital supply chains reduce losses from expiring inventory. We do this by accepting unneeded, new sterile device and supplies to our warehouse, then sell items to hospital clients at a price determined by remaining time until expiration. Since our prices are typically 50% lower than msrp pricing, can supply chain experts comment on issues that may keep a facility from purchasing new, sterile, unaltered devices from us rather than a gpo. We do not want to become a primary supplier for facilities, we provide opportunities to buy selective items at greatly reduced prices. It seems we have many hospitals willing to send us unneeded supplies to sell, but few that take advantage of purchasing opportunities. Insights from supply chain experts on any steps we could clarify or take to induce more supply chains to look at our company for purchases would be helpful.+6 Other Responses
