purpose statement: the primary purpose of the engagement is to perform clinical assessments on medical records to determine if clinical indicators are present to support hhcs (hierarchical condition categories). Strong clinical and coding experience is required. Epic experience is desired with proficiency navigating health records. Essential functions: o ability to successfully perform clinical assessments to determine support of icd-10 –cm code assignments o ability to successfully assign icd-10 codes based on supporting documentation o determine the accuracy of code assignments, including icd-9 cm diagnosis and icd-10 diagnosis o manage protected health information (phi) daily without compromising security and integrity o prepare and submit accurate and timely deliverables o possesses a cooperative and positive attitude toward clients, management, and co-workers by responding politely and professionally and being a valued team player o adheres to the hipaa privacy and security regulations o accepts change with a positive attitude o performs other duties as assigned qualifications: education / experience: o degree in nursing and health information management or related field along with 3-5 yeas of proven industry experience o strong knowledge of icd-9 and icd-10-cm with risk adjustment certification (crc) o strong knowledge navigating electronic health records with epic experience o self-starter, proactive and ability to maintain focus with minimal supervision o possess organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects with strict deadlines simultaneously o strong written and oral communication skills o proficient in computer and internet usage o ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships that will foster teamwork

Senior quality management system expert qualifications and skills
•university degree with one of the following disciplines: management, engineering, statistics, economics, social sciences, public or business administration, or equivalent, or at least 10 years of experience additional to that required under general professional experience,
