Aquaponics Market Analysis
I am doing some work for an ngo that is affiliated with the anglican church. The project revolves around an aquaponics initiative planned for development in the us virgin islands.
What we need is a market analysis that ultimately determines the price and demand potential for aquaponics' products in the virgin islands. These products would include organically grown lettuces, basil, and other small agricultural crops, and to a lesser extent, fish (generally tilapia).
As this is outside my area of experience, i was wondering if you could point me in the right direction regarding a firm that could conduct such a study. I would think understanding first, the overall market for these products in the market area in terms of both dollars and units, their past and future growth potential, then determining a realistic market share and price point for the venture's products that could drive the economic analysis would make sense. However, i would need assistance from the firm who will do the study to develop a scope of work as i really have no experience at all in this field.
Thank you for any help you can provide me.+7 Other Responses
Next Gen Breeding & Controlled Environment Agriculture
Our client would like to speak with professionals who have experience with the next generation plant (preferably berries) breeding, and controlled environment agriculture (cea).
They are aiming to better understand the technological developments and active players in controlled environment agriculture, which includes: vertical farming, hydroponics, aquaponics, aeroponics, etc.
This is a paid 60-mins webcam interview. If open to participating, kindly answer the questions below.
How do you see cea (controlled environment agriculture) technologies affecting the berry industry in the short and long term? Can you elaborate on specific technologies for increased production, improvement in quality, and postharvest life?
Please note that our client is only interested in your personal point of view and is not seeking confidential information.
For every successful referral (client interviews referral) on this project, a $200 bonus is paid to the referrer.
