Wireless Network

Zintro expert, the zintro blog needs you! we are looking for expert opinions on the news mentioned below and would like to hear from you within the next couple of days. While we'd love your thoughts, we realize that your time is valuable, so here are a couple of things you need to know before deciding whether or not to participate: replies should be brief about 1-2 paragraphs and include your full name participation is voluntary no payment will be involved if chosen, you'll be named in the post and we'll include a link to your zintro profile which will generate more visitors for you wondering what the post would look like? Here is a sample: http://blog.Zintro.Com/2012/01/16/keystone-xl-pipeline-pros-and-cons/ here's the topic on which we'd love your thoughts: wireless according to this cnet article: verizon wireless is trying to quell its competitors' claims that they offer better performing wireless networks than it does with results of a new study published by rootmetrics. Big red highlighted findings from a recent rootmetrics national test which shows that verizon dominated in five out of six categories that were tested by the wireless analytics company during the last half of 2013. Specifically the test looked at network reliability, call completion and quality, text message service, and data speeds. Overall verizon ranked no. 1 nationally with at&t following as a close second. Sprint and t-mobile came in third and fourth, respectively. The reality is that whether verizon, at&t, or t-mobile are touting test results, it's difficult to compare because the actual tests used to boast about these claims aren't measuring the exact same things. Verizon was the first major carrier to deploy lte. And the company has used its head start to its advantage in terms of building out its network. As a result, competitors were hurt by comparison because where lte is unavailable, customers are falling back onto 3g networks, which offer much slower throughput. Rootmetrics data suggests that verizon had the best, or tied for the best, service in 45 states. At&t was best or tied for first in 16 states. In short, the study reveals little new information in terms of how the carriers stack up against one another. Verizon is still considered the most reliable network with a strong lte network that offers service in more places than anyone else. At&t is a close second. And sprint and t-mobile need better coverage to truly compete against verizon or at&t. What is your opinion of verizon's claims and of the argument in the cnet article that rootmetrics results are not being used accurately? Getting your name and expert opinion published on our blog is a great marketing opportunity. If interested, please send us your response via znotes within a couple of days. Don't forget to include your full name. If you have any questions, please let us know. Thank you! the zintro blog team

Wireless Spectrum

Dish is a broadcast satellite company that also owns a great deal of spectrum. We’d like to talk to someone who is very familiar with the story, and can talk to us specifically about dish’s spectrum, and help us better understand (1) valuation, as well as (2) strategic concerns related to the fcc and future potential buyers (like verizon). This is a well-known story within telecom. The ideal expert would be a research / investment analyst familiar with the situation, someone who used to work for fcc, or someone who used to work for any of the major telco carriers (verizon, at&t, etc) and can talk to us about spectrum. Please respond with your relevance to this request and a few availability windows for a 1 hour paid phone consultation.
