Bottled Water Operation
We are looking for someone who is knowledgeable on starting a small bottled water operation. Virginia tech says we have almost perfect natural water. It is currently being supplied to a small town. All state inspections give it high grades and good remarks. Our water has never seen daylight or exposed to daylight. It comes from underground aquifers. Our interest though is to commence a hydrogen infused small water bottling plant.
We have excessive water, lots of excellent water. Our water is constantly monitored by the state of virginia and federal too. Each day we dump thousands of gallons of first filtered water into a creek because we have a huge filtering operation and lots of water. We supply a small town of 1200 people their drinking water and water in general. It is just disturbing to dump pure filter water into a creek. Thus why we gave thought to a bottled water operation. We are totally out of the loop on the bottled water industry and as such so inexperienced to enter the market. We thought we could enter the market for 300-500,000 including machinery, etc. Etc. In fact i know where to buy a complete water bottling plant for less then 50,000. Thus why we (i) thought we could do this in the 300-500,000 range. But just initial contact using your communication site we learn we are talking about millions of dollars to just start. That we will not do as self owned. We would consider some joint arrangement should such appear.
In addition i have a very good 62,000 sq. Ft. Building, one level concrete, eight loading docks, offices, etc. Where we could pump thousands of gallons of first filtered water directly into the building., we could cut a cheap deal on either rental or purchase to anyone on the building. We could give job training salary participation. We could give no state income tax and taxes in general for 3 years. We could invest up to 10% in another's operation if they have a sound business plan. We could pump thousands of gallons of water directly into the plant for $3.65 a thousand gallons. It is a dream for anyone either in the water business or seeking to enter.
Our whole objective is to sell our excess first filtered high
grade water. Our own bottling operation is/was an option to consider. Is there a better way to run an ad or smartest to forget it and continue to dump fresh filtered water into the creek. At least the fish love us as we have two trout farms down stream who love us plus many spring, summer fishermen along the creek.
To qualify, please provide your feedback on the following.
1. What is the current z situation. Is it over saturated now ?
2. Is setting up a small bottled water operation has chances in the current market?
3, do you have experience in setting up a hydrogen infused bottling business on small scale?+30 Other Responses
Bottled Water Industry
I work for zintro. We're working on a project to drive more inquiries into the system to get you more consulting leads. The project is writing and building an authoritative guide on a topic that we feel is broadly interesting/applicable so that we can promote it on a variety of sites and blogs. The topics are bottled beverages, vitamin-enhanced water, and zero-calorie beverages. We'd like to solicit some interview style responses from our experts to feature in this guide. While this is an unpaid opportunity, if you are chosen to be quoted, you will build credibility in your industry, get great exposure and free publicity, and you'll be helping to generate more relevant leads!
please answer some or all of the following questions with as much detail as possible, as there will likely be no follow up interview. Skip any questions where you don’t have great insight or experience.
1. In your experience, what's the fundamental difference between bottled water and tap? (spring water aside, is it true that most bottled water comes from municipal sources?)
2. Is bottled water safer or healthier than standard tap water?
3. Does the bottled water industry unnecessarily contribute to waste? What is the industry's commitment to environmental responsibility? Is it industry standard to use recycled plastic?
4. What impacts does the bottled water industry have on the environment? Is the industry wasteful as far as water usage, energy waste or materials?
5. Are there benefits to drinking bottled water over standard tap water?
6. What purification processes does bottled water undergo before packaging?
7. Is bpa an issue in the bottled water industry? What sweetners are used in smart water?
8. Is smart water better/healthier than municipal tap water or non-enhanced bottled water?
9. Most bottled water comes from municipal sources. Is the industry wasteful in terms of energy use and materials (i.E., plastic bottles)?
Thank you for participating! i hope to choose some of your responses to feature in the guide.+16 Other Responses
