Climate Change

The zintro blog needs you! i write the zintro blog. I am looking for your expert opinion on the question below and a written response that is one to three paragraphs long. Your response may be used in an article that i will write and post on the zintro site. You will be named in the article and a link to your expert profile will be included. Your contribution is voluntary (there is no direct payment involved, but you will get lots of traffic to your expert profile). If interested, please send me your response via znotes in the next one or two days. Climate change has become a business reality worldwide as many multinational companies perceive global warming as an immediate threat to their operations and investments. As many of the big players including wal-mart, general electric, pricewaterhousecoopers and l’orã©al are focusing their efforts on reducing carbon emissions, what preventive actions should the government take? This is a great marketing opportunity to get your name and expert opinion published on our blog. Book On Climate Change

Call for authors- book on climate change (land-uses and forestry) we very happy to announce a new book project venture, an initiative with ***** science publishers inc. (ny) and the editing team including peers from brazil, spain, and australia. The new book is entitled land use, land-use change and forestry (lulucf), in reference to the unfccc framework (which is a starting point). This book is a compilation of 10-13 independent scientific articles, where each article is one chapter. Contributing authors must submit abstracts by august 15 (2013), and the full article by january 15 (2014). The contributions are in the format of scientific articles, but nevertheless there is flexibility for contributions (e.G., thesis, research, project, reviews, compilations, policy, discussions, etc). The abstract submission is about a 1 page long description of the proposed article and must include- title, names of authors, email contact information, affiliation, and draft abstract text (100-400 words) indicating the proposed idea for the article. The article will have a maximum of 10 pages and further guidance on formatting will be provided. Every and each abstract is very important to us, as non-selected abstracts are used to provide ideas to new books and all are invited again to take part in the coming books. There are no costs or revenues associated with being a contributing author. Contact me for further information. Thank you! silvia

Climate Change

My name is kierstin gray and i work for a non-profit group in the sierra's in the state of california, pursuing state grant funding to do some climate change scenario modeling. The modeling would be for our region in which we cover four counties. What we want to do is use approved models to run a set of future climate scenarios. Do you do that? If yes, what do you need to know from us to give us an accurate cost? We don't need too much information, only need numbers for a best case/worst case scenario for 2010, 2020, 2040 and 2060. Thank you, kierstin gray
