Wind Turbine Blade
I am a curious teacher. As freezing humid air passes the blade in its rotation, ice possibly in large amounts will accumulate on the blades. I am assuming that equal deposition on all three blades will keep the rotor in balance. However if one blade should shed a large amount, how does the mechanism deal with the imbalance or are the blades so massive that shedding ice is a small event. How does the equipment deal with ice on the aerodynamic surfaces? Does it have a deiceing capability?
