This consultant is a business professional with experience in sales and marketing management focusing in the clinical molecular diagnostics industry and is currently an independent consultant. From 2007 to 2011 He worked as Director for the Women’s Health business at Gen-Probe with global responsibility for the $200M core business and expansion into cervical cancer screening including business development, strategic planning, and upstream/downsteam marketing. He was also responsible for cultivating relationships with key opinion leaders in clinical laboratories, gynecology, and pathology as well as patient and industry advocacy groups. Previously, he held positions of increasing responsibility at Becton Dickinson from 1995 to 2007 leading the global commercialization of the Viper platform as well as developing and executing the US go to market strategy for the Probe Tec platform achieving more than $100M in annual revenue in molecular diagnostics. He started his career at Meridian Diagnostics (1984-1992) and was responsible for national accounts and international marketing before transitioning to Microscan (diagnostics division of Baxter Healthcare) in clinical laboratory equipment sales between 1992 and 1995. He holds a BA in Microbiology from Miami University and a MBA in general management from the Sellinger School of Business at Loyola College of Maryland. He is a member of the Diagnostic Marketing Association, the American Marketing Association, the American Association of Clinical Chemistry and the American Society for Microbiology.
